About

Ask Away is a guided onramp to AI. Users pick what's on their plate, answer a question or two, and watch their prompt write itself. They send it, get a real answer, and ask for changes in their own words.

An experiment. Ask Away started from a hunch that some people need a little extra help getting started with AI. Guiding users to a better first prompt does two things: it gets them a better outcome now, and it teaches them to build their next prompts by themselves. After two guided prompts, users graduate to the plain chat box.

How it works. Users go through a few quick questions and real-time checks that help them shape a strong first prompt before they submit it. A combination of models evaluates, routes and answers each prompt. A fast model judges how complete the prompt is as the user types. The prompt then goes to the model best suited to the task. The guidance is built into the product, so the same onramp scales to every new user without a human tutor.

Who made it. Ask Away was built by an independent developer in San Francisco. It is not tied to OpenAI or any other AI company. Ask Away is free to use.
